The Gambler takes chances. He loves any opportunity to prove he can defy the odds. The secret to the Gambler’s success is that he is always looking for an edge, a way to tilt the advantage in his favor and away from his opponent. This influences everything the Gambler does even combat. The Gambler can be set for life one minute and broke and running for his life the next. He would not have it any other way.

  • Class Skills: The gambler adds Gambling to the list of Rouge class skills.
  • Combat Edge: When a gambler hits an opponent and deals sneak attack damage, he can forgo 1d6 points of that damage to gain a +1 to hit bonus on all future attacks against that opponent during the encounter. He can only do this once per encounter. Replaces trapfinding.
  • Read Opponent: A gambler gains an advantage over his opponents by being able to read their tells. At 3rd level, a gambler gains a +1 morale bonus on Bluff, Sense Motive and Gambling checks. This bonus increases by +1 for every 3 levels beyond 3rd. Replaces Trap Sense.
  • Rouge Talents: The following talents compliment the gambler archetype: Canny Observer, False Friend, Hard To Fool, Honeyed Words.
